Description

Unique in Lisbon’s architectural landscape, it is also one the most striking examples of Portuguese industrial architecture from the first half of the 20th century. The structure follows the western model of cast-iron architecture, with solid brick cladding, which fashions and decorates the façades in artistic styles that range from Art Noveau in the older sections (low-pressure building), to classicism in the more contemporary areas (high-pressure building).
